A Dream Called GSR
In Montegranaro, inside the historic Vecchiola family building, a revolution in trail running footwear is taking shape. Five of the top runners from the Marche region, key players on the Italian scene, have gathered to test and promote Fessura's new GSR shoe—a product born from years of research and technological development.

Andrea Vecchiola, the visionary behind the project, shared the journey that led to the creation of the GSR: “We started with an entry-level shoe, observing how trail running evolved from a niche sport to a lifestyle phenomenon. Today, we have a product that merges performance, design, and innovation. Each model is dedicated to a mountain in the Sibillini range, symbolizing our connection between the brand and the nature that inspires it.”

The Technology Behind GSR
The new GSR line is designed to conquer even the most challenging trails, offering stability, protection, and responsiveness. Its upper securely wraps the foot, shielding it from rocks and roots, while the EVA Super Critical High Elastic midsole, featuring patented Slot Technology, delivers the perfect balance of lightness and support. The outsole ensures extreme grip, making the shoe ideal for diverse terrains.

Another standout feature is its lightweight design: just 210 grams for a size 37 and 260 grams for a size 42, emphasizing Fessura's attention to detail. Looking ahead, the brand plans to introduce even greener, more responsive soles, potentially incorporating carbon plates for enhanced performance.

A Team That Feels Like Family
The five selected athletes—Riccardo Pianesi, Marco Brutti, Mirko Fioretti, Roberto Tirabasso, and Giacomo Forconi—form the core of this initiative. Wearing their signature purple training kits, a nod to boldness and innovation, they will represent Fessura in key Italian competitions. After a month of rigorous training, they will officially debut at the Chianti Ultra Trail in March.

Vecchiola emphasized the importance of building a community: “These athletes will be our soul, the first ambassadors of a movement poised to grow. We don’t just aim to compete; we want to create a lifestyle that blends performance with fashion, much like Hoka has achieved on a global scale.”

Fessura’s Future in Trail Running
Fessura is not merely creating shoes—it’s reshaping the Italian market, aiming to become the go-to brand for those seeking a fusion of style and technical excellence. Among its future plans is the organization of a major trail running event in the Marche region, celebrating the local territory while strengthening its community.

With the GSR, Fessura proves that ambition, innovation, and deep-rooted ties to the land can coexist, paving the way for Italian excellence to conquer trails worldwide.
